About NEET MDS Exam

NEET MDS 2022 will be a single-window entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for all Dental PG courses. Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Dental Surgery must clear the NEET MDS exam. It is the only compulsory exam organized for entry to MDS programs. Those appearing in the state-level or institution-level exam will not be considered for the Dental postgraduate courses. While NBE conducts the exam and announces the result, the Directorate of General Health Services completes the selection and counselling process. NEET MDS Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for NEET MDS 2023 are mentioned below:

  • Qualification: Candidates must have bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery by any recognized university/ institute by DCI.
  • The candidates must be registered with Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC).
  • Internship: All candidates must complete the process of completion of 1 year of compulsory internship or practical training on or before 31st March 2023.

NEET MDS Admit Card

The Board will issue the NEET MDS admit card 2022 on the official website. Candidates will be informed about the same through SMS. Please note that no admit card will be sent through the post to any candidate. To download it, the applicants must use the user ID and password. Check for the details like the candidate's roll number, the center of the exam, time allotment, etc. on the call letter. In case of discrepancy, contact the authority immediately. After downloading the admit card, affix your latest passport size photograph in the provided space on the admit card. The specifications of the photograph are as under:

  • The minimum size of the photograph must be 35mm x 45mm. The photograph must cover a minimum of 75% of the face and head.
  • The name of the candidate and date of capturing the photograph must be mentioned at the bottom of the photograph.
  • The background of the photograph must be white.
  • Look directly into the camera with a natural expression. The photograph must have a full front view of the face.
  • The photograph must not have red eyes, reflection, or shadow, scratches, stains, and kinks.
  • The photograph must be printed on high-quality paper with a minimum of 600 dpi resolutions.

  • Enter your user id and password and check your admit card for any errors.
  • Download the same and keep it safe for future reference.

NEET MDS Syllabus

NEET MDS syllabus is considered as one of the basic tools to scale up the preparation for the exam. NEET MDS question paper is divided into two parts, A B. Part A comprises 100 marks while part B has140 marks questions. All the subjects given in NEET MDS syllabus should be prepared well to qualify for the exam. NEET MDS Exam Pattern

NEET MDS 2022 Exam Pattern -

NBE will conduct the NEET MDS 2022 exam on a single day, in a single session. There will be multiple-choice questions (240 questions) in two parts Part A (100 questions) and Part B (140 questions). Time allotted for the exam 180 minutes. For the wrong answers, 25% marks will be deducted. In the case of unattempted questions, no marks will be subtracted. 4 marks are given for each correct answer. The medium of the exam is English.

NEET MDS Cut off

The qualifying NEET MDS cut off score is released along with the results. Candidates who will score more than NEET MDS cutoff 2023 will be included in the merit list and hence will be eligible to participate in NEET MDS counseling for admission to 50% AIQ seats. NEET MDS Qualification

  • An Indian applicant must have completed a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from a recognised institute or university in India, registered with SDC (State Dental Council) and received permanent or provisional registration
  • He must have obtained a compulsory one-year rotatory internship from a recognised dental institution.
  • Foreign nationals need not mandatorily possess temporary registration with the Dental Council of India (DCI) while appearing for NEET-MDS 2022.
  • They must have obtained basic dental qualifications recognised by the concerned authority or the corresponding state dental council.
  • Those who have passed the qualifying exam and are undergoing the 12-months compulsory rotatory internship/ practical training which is likely to complete by 31st July 2022 are also eligible to appear for the exam. However, such students will not be eligible for admission if their internship doesn't complete on or before 31st July 2022.

NEET MDS How to Apply

Following are the details about NEET MDS 2023 application form with some instructions:

  • The NEET MDS 2023 application form has been made available through online mode.
  • The application form for NEET MDS 2023 has been released from 9th January 2023.
  • Candidates must fill the application form with details such as name, parent name, email id, phone number, etc.
  • Upload the scanned documents such as certificate, photograph and signature etc.
  • Authority has also provided the correction facility to the candidates from 2nd to 5th February 2023.
  • The last date to submit the application form for NEET MDS 2023 was till 30th January 2023.
  • The registration process has been re-started from 10th till 12th February 2023. Correction process gets re-start from 15th February 2023.
  • The final opportunity to edit incorrect details (if anY) has been enabled from 17th to 19th February 2023.
  • Candidates must submit the application form and take the printout of it for future reference.

Application Fee:
  • The application fee for NEET MDS 2023 can be submitted through online mode.
  • Candidates must submit the fee using Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking.
