About FNB Exam

NBE FNB full form is the National Board of Examinations Fellowship in National Board which conducted by the authority National Board of Examination to provide admission to eligible candidates into FNB (Fellowship in National Board) Degree. NBE is a National conducting authority of different National Level Entrance Examinations which are (NEET, PDCET, DNB CET).

The following are the Important Dates of the NBE FEE mentioned below for the candidates, those are wishing to get Fellowship in National Board.

FNB Eligibility

Candidates must check the following details regarding NBE FNB 2022 Eligibility Criteria for admission:

  • Nationality: Indian National candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Aspirants have undergone training in FNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations (NBE) accredited institute after registering themselves as FNB trainee.
  • Candidates will have to submit the training completion certificate (as performed format mentioned in Annexure-II).
  • Make sure to register yourself with the Board and in online form upload the self-attested copy of the registration letter/registration number issued by NBE for the Fellowship Exit Exam.

FNB Syllabus

The NBEMS releases the syllabus of Fellowship Entrance Test. It contains all the topics from which questions will be asked in the Medical exam. The NBE FET syllabus is as follows.

Part A (40% weightage)- questions from eligible feeder specialty / specialties for a particular fellowship course
Part B (60% weightage) - questions from the concerned fellowship or group of clubbed fellowship courses


FNB Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of NBE FET 2022 is as follows. Expected exam pattern as per last exam is as follows

Part A 40% weightage Questions from Eligible Feeder Specialty/ Specialties for a particular fellowship course
Part B 60% weightage Questions from the concerned fellowship or group of clubbed fellowship courses

Paper to select - A student can apply for the fellowship courses for which his/her broad or super specialty qualification/ equivalent qualification is eligible

Type of paper - There shall be a separate question paper for each fellowship course /clubbed group. Total number of questions in each question paper shall be 100 which shall be divided into two Parts; Part A & Part B.
 

PART A

  • Part-A of the question paper for any fellowship course/clubbed group shall comprise of MCQs from the eligible feeder broad/ super specialty course(s).
  • In case, there is only a single feeder broad specialty course for a particular super specialty, Part A in such a case will comprise of questions from only one broad specialty.
    • For eg.MS/DNB General Surgery is the only feeder specialty for FNB Minimal Access Surgery, therefore Part A of FNB Minimal Access Surgery question paper will comprise of questions from General Surgery.
  • For Fellowship courses having multiple feeder specialty courses, Part-A will comprise of questions from all the eligible feeder specialty courses.
    • For eg. The eligible feeder specialties for Hand & Micro Surgery course are General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery. Therefore, Part -A of Hand and Micro Surgery question paper shall comprise of questions from all the three feeder specialty courses i.e. General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery.
 

PART B

  • Part- B of the question paper: It shall comprise of 60 questions pertaining to the concerned fellowship course.
  • The questions shall shall cover topics from clinical practice and basic sciences as applied to the concerned Fellowship course at entrance/entry level.
 

Other aspects of the exam are as follows.

  • Mode : NBEMS will hold the Fellowship Entrance Test as CBT.
  • Duration : The exam will be of 105 mins (Part A - 45 minutes and Part B - 60 minutes).
  • Type of questions : The questions in the question paper will be as follows - MCQ.
  • Language of question paper : The NBE FET question paper 2022 will be in these languages - insertmanually.
 

Marking Scheme

  • Candidates get 4 for correct answer.
  • The negative marking is 1 for incorrect answer.

FNB How to Apply

The NBE FNB Application Form will be available and those applicants wishing to get admission to Fellowship in National Board can fill out the application form for the NBE FNB Examination online mode.

The aspiring and eligible candidates can fill out the application form by following the procedure mentioned below and they have to follow it.

  • First of all, applicants need to go to the official webpage of the National Board of Examinations.
  • There will be a link to the FNB examination link and applicants have to click on it. Before clicking on the link to an online form, applicants have to read the instructions carefully.
  • Candidates should have to fill in all the correct and complete details in the application form.
  • They have to upload their scanned documents in the application form. The scanned photograph and signature and thumb impression to be uploaded must be in jpg/jpeg format and should not be more than 100 KB in size.
  • The applicants need to make the payment of the application fee through online mode.
  • Candidates should have submitted the duly filled application forms along with a copy of the bank pay-in-slip and other required documents.
  • All candidates registered with the Board have to upload online their self-attested copy of the registration letter/registration number issued by NBE with the application form for the Fellowship Exit Exam.

APPLICATION FEE
  • The Application Fee for NBE FNB is Rs. 5500 excluding GST and other charges as may be applicable by various banks.
  • The applicants can pay the application fee by using Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or other modes.
  • The application fee is non-refundable.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION FORM
  • Application Forms (Form I and Form II)
  • Copy of Bank Pay in Slip of Application Fee
  • Copy of DNB/MD/MS/DM/M Ch Passing Certificate
  • Document supporting postgraduate/ doctoral qualification recognized by the IMC Act 1956, and a copy of the IMC Act 1956 – stating recognition status of candidate’s qualification.
  • Self- Attested Copies of other documents i.e. MBBS Certificate, MCI/SMC registration certificate.
