About UPPSC Exam

UPPSC Mains Online Form 2022 has been released officially by the exam organizing body which is the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on its official website. This year 5964 candidates have qualified the Pre exam on that was held on 12 June 2022, Sunday in 28 exam centers across Uttar Pradesh State. Candidates interested to take the Mains exam have to fill out the application form before 25 August 2022. Further, the Mains exam date has been officially released.

The selection process for UPPSC PCS exam is done through three stages consisting of Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The Prelims exam has only objective-type questions while the Mains is descriptive in nature. The selection process is modeled on UPSC civil services exam. UPPSC Eligibility

The candidates should check all the eligibility conditions before filling out the UPPSC PCS 2022 application form. The commission may cancel the candidature of any candidates at any stage of recruitment. The eligibility criteria for the UPPCS Exam are given below.

The common age limit for all the positions is:

Minimum Age limit- 21 years

Maximum Age Limit - 40 years on July 1

The candidates born before July 2, 1982, and after July 1, 2001 are not eligible to appear in the UPPSC 2022 exam.

The age relaxation provided for the reserved category candidates is:

UPPSC Admit Card

UPPSC Mains Admit Card 2022 will be released on its website for the UPPSC Provincial Civil Service (PCS) Examination. As per the UPPSC 2022 notice, the mains exam is to be held from27 September to 1 October 2022.The exam will be held in three districts of Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj, Lucknow and Ghaziabad in two shifts on all days. The candidates who have qualified the UPPSC Prelims exam will be able to appear for the PCS mains exam as per their roll numbers. A total of 5964 candidates will be appearing for the UPPSC Mains exam.


UPPSC Selection

The UPPSC conducts the exam on the pattern of the UPSC IAS Exam. The UPPCS exam has three stages selection process and the candidates must pass all three stages of the UPPCS exam to qualify for the exam. The stages of the selection process are given below.

UPPSC Syllabus

UPPSC Exam Pattern

UPPSC Exam Pattern is released by the UPPSC along with the official notification. UPPSC exam pattern includes the paper pattern for Prelims and UPPSC Mains exam. The complete details are mentioned below.

UPPSC Pre shall have only two papers that will be objective in nature. On the other hand, the Mains exam shall have 8 papers in total, out of which,2 are Essay and General Hindi papers 4 shall be General Studies papers and 2 are optional papers. All the questions in the Mains exam of UPPSC shall have to be answered in a descriptive manner.

UPPSC Qualification

The candidate must be a graduate to appear in the UPPSC PCS exam 2022. The candidates who are appearing in their graduation degree exam can also appear in the exam but they need to submit their final year mark sheet at the time of UPPCS main exam Detailed Application Form (DAF) submission. 

The candidates having any percentage in the degree course can fill the UPPCS application and can appear in the PCS exam. Besides, there are some specific educational qualifications required for some posts. The details are given below.
