SSC MTS 2023 notification is to be released on January 25, 2023 on the SSC website – ssc.nic.in. The eligible candidates can fill out the application form on or before February 24, 2023. Staff Service Selection Commission Multi Tasking Service, abbreviated as SSC MTS is an examination that is conducted yearly. This exam is a nationwide examination held to select candidates for various posts like Peon, Chowkidar, etc. Candidates can appear in this examination after they have cleared to class 10 exam from any recognized board.

Candidates need to check and confirm their eligibility for the SSC MTS 2022 before they begin to fill out the application form. It is mandatory for candidates from a specific age group to hold the required qualification. The purpose of determining the SSC MTS eligibility, age limit and qualification is to hire the young generation and put people to work. QualificationCandidates interested in applying for the SSC MTS 2022 exam must have a 10th class passing certificate from a recognized board. To be noted, the required qualification must be attained within the time period which is mentioned in the SSC MTS 2022 Notification.
Age LimitThe commission has divided the SSC MTS age limit into two groups and a separate number of vacancies are announced for both groups. Candidates fulfilling both the age groups will be counted in the age group of 18-25 years. Two age groups come under SSC MTS which are as follows:

Steps to Download the SSC MTS Admit Card
Candidates must have a fair understanding of the selection process of the SSC MTS exam. SSC MTS selection process consists of CBT, Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test (PET/PST), and Descriptive exam. Candidates need to qualify both the papers to be considered for the Multitasking post and all three stages, including PET for the Havaldar post. While for Tier-1, the cutoff is released by the authorities along with the declaration of the result and for Tier-2 candidates need to score minimum marks to proceed further in SSC MTS 2022 recruitment. However, the final selection is done based on the marks scored in the Tier 1 exam.
English Language : In this section, candidates' understanding of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and writing ability shall be tested.
General Intelligence and Reasoning : It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.
Numerical Aptitude : This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
General Awareness : Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
Applicants must be well aware of the SSC MTS exam pattern. The SSC MTS 2022 examination will be conducted in 3 different phases: Paper-1, Paper-2 (Descriptive Test) & Paper-3 (Skill Test). Paper-1 will have an online exam having objective multiple choice questions. Paper-2 will have a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in English or any other language listed in the government policies.
Paper-I: Computer Based TestPaper-1 will constitute 4 subjects namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness. Every subject will have separate marking procedure as per the chart given below:

The Paper-I will be an objective based test which will include 100 questions of 100 marks. Correct answer shall be awarded 1 mark each and for every incorrect answer there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
Paper-II: Descriptive Type TestIn this paper, there would be only 1 question for 50 marks and the candidates need to write an essay or letter as per the question paper.
