Candidates must ensure that their educational qualification matches the following SSC JE ME Eligibility criteria:

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute

Junior Engineer (Mechanical), MES

(II) Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Mechanical Engineering works.

Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Farakka Barrage Project.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.

Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Border Roads Organisation, Ministry of Defence.

Degree in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute, OR 

(a) Three years Diploma in Electrical/Automobile/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute/ Board; and 

(b) Two years of working experience in Planning/Execution/ Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Central Water Power Research Station.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.

Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Directorate of Quality Assurance, Naval.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University; or (a) Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution; and (b) Two years of experience in the respective fields.

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Step 2: On the home page candidates can click the link that says "Download admit card for Junior Engineer ME Examination, 2022.

Step 4: Now, enter your Roll numbers or Registration number or Name and DOB.

Step 5: Click on the submit button.

Step 6: Your SSC JE Admit Card 2022 will be displayed on your screen.

SSC JE Mechanical Engineer Salary

Only aspirants who clear the two-stage process of SSC JE ME recruitment will be finally selected for the post. The selected candidates will receive an expected in-hand SSC JE ME Salary starting from INR 35400/- to INR 112400/- along allowance and raises. The salary will be incremented gradually along with the basic pay and allowances.

SSC JE Mechanical Engineer Exam Pattern

The SSC JE Mechanical exam pattern 2022 would give the candidates an idea of the marking scheme of the examination, which they can use to plan their studies as per their requirement. It would also help them to understand the marks allocated to each subject and set their priorities right. Following is the exam pattern of all the stages of the upcoming SSC Junior Engineer examination. 

  • Subject 1 & 2 of Paper 1 will be the same for all the candidates.
  • For Subject 3, it will be topics from concerned discipline i.e., Mechanical Engineering.
  • In both the paper 1&2 for General Engineering, a candidate will be required to attempt only the part as per the option given in the application form.
  • In Paper 1 there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
  • Paper 2 will be descriptive and will be conducted in pen and paper mode.
  • Paper 2 again will be on the topics of Mechanical Engineering.
  • A candidate will be allowed to bring his/her own slide rule, calculator, log table and steam table for Paper 2.
  • There will be no negative marking in Paper 2.
