NTA has released the JEE Mains 2023 Schedule. Application Dates are from 15th December 2022 to 12th January 2023. Joint Entrance Examination is a national level examination conducted for 10+2 students seeking courses B.Tech, B.E, and B.Arch/B. Planning. The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), also known as JEE Main, is the exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to shortlist candidates for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). JEE Main also serves as the qualifying exam for the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technologies (IITs). National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the exam every year in multiple sessions.

Qualification :
1. The candidates must have passed class 12th
2. The candidates who are going to appear for the class 12th exam
3. For B.Tech/BE, the candidate must have studied Maths, Physics and any one of chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects at the class 12th level
4. For B.Arch. / B. Planning, the candidate must have studied Mathematics at class 12th
Age Limit :
1. The candidate should be born on or after the 1st October 2021.
2. SC/ST/PwD candidates will get the relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age.
The registered candidates can get access to their to admit cards by using their Application No. and Date of Birth. Here are the steps for the same -
Step 1: Go to the official JEE Main website i.e. jeemain.nic.in
Step 2: Or Click on the JEE Main Admit Card Direct link above.
Step 3: Enter your Application number with your password.
Step 4: It’ll ask you for a security pin. Enter the Security Pin.
Step 5: Download your JEE Main admit card from there and save it for future reference.
The counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is organised by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates who will appear in JEE Main 2022 and obtain a score have to register for JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates who appear in JEE Advanced also need to register for JoSAA 2022 counselling for admission to IIITs. The process of registration is done online and the allotment of seats is based on the All India Rank of candidates. Candidates can check here the participating institutes of JoSAA 2022 counselling.
JEE Main Participating InstitutesThe participating institutes of JEE Main are the colleges that participate in the JoSAA counselling for admission in various Engineering, Architecture and Planning courses. Besides JEE Main participating institutes, many colleges offer admission based on the scores of JEE Main but are not a part of JoSAA. Such institutes organise their counselling process for admission.
There are a total of 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 19 other GFTIs that participate in JoSAA counselling. The number of seats in these institutes can be checked below. Other institutes which offer admission based on JEE Main scores are from the states which do not conduct their entrance exams for engineering admission and include U.P., Bihar, M.P., Delhi, among others.
NTA has released the syllabus of JEE Main 2023 on the official website. JEE Main exam syllabus 2023 is divided into three parts for paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech)- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
