| Library | National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata Resource Centre (RC) has library wing and material wing. Library consists of varied books covering information regarding garments, fashion and technology and is subscribed to fashion journals and fashion forecast. Library also has videotapes, slides and CD-ROMs. Material Wing consists of textiles, costumes, finding and accessories. Textile collection contains a fully documented collection of woven and printed patterns created for apparel and home furnishings. Costume collection consists of well-known designer's clothing and regional costumes of India. Findings collection consists of functional materials such as zippers, elastic, buttons, embellishments interfacing, linings and other materials needed to complete the garments. A variety of belts, bags, costume jewellery, yarn craft comprises accessory collection. |
